American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a valid Missouri state license and at least 1 year of SNF/outpatient PT experience for a 13-week skilled nursing facility assignment.

Work setting is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, with 80–90% general outpatient PT and 10–20% inpatient/swing bed caseload
-
Average caseload is 10–13 patients per day

Epic EMR experience is required

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)

Contract length is 13 weeks

Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate

Valid Missouri state PTA license required; license must be in hand at time of consideration

Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA in an outpatient and/or inpatient skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting

Experience with Epic EMR required

Plans, organizes, and implements individualized treatment programs in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices

Collaborates as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team

No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation; all RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration

Compliance documentation must be completed before the clinician can begin seeing patients, which may take 2–3 weeks

Travelers may work up to 18 months before a required 3-month break; Allied and non-clinical travelers may work up to 12 months before a required 6-month break

Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
