American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist with CA licensure and a minimum of 3 years of experience for a high-volume outpatient oncology center treating 60–70 patients per day across TrueBeam, Ethos, and MRI-Linac platforms.

High-volume adult/geriatric outpatient oncology setting with occasional adolescent patients
-
Unit treats approximately 60–70 patients per day across three machines: ~40 on TrueBeam, ~25 on Ethos, and ~5 on MRI-Linac

Specialties include external beam therapy, IMRT, SBRT/SRS, respiratory gating, and treatment of prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials and benign brain tumors

CBCT/kV/mV imaging utilized routinely

Documents in Epic EMR

Monday through Friday schedule, 5x8-hour shifts; hours range from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM depending on unit needs and traveler availability

No weekend or on-call requirements

13-week contract

Active CA Radiation Therapist license required if applicable

Current BLS and ARRT (T) certifications required

Minimum 3 years of radiation therapy experience required; 5 years preferred

Adult outpatient oncology experience required

Proficiency with TrueBeam and Varis-Vision/ARIA required

Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging required
-
Experience treating benign brain tumors, prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials, and respiratory gating required

Radiation safety knowledge required
-
Grey scrubs required (not provided by facility)

RT will join a multidisciplinary team of 13 RTs, 3 Dosimetrists, 3 Physicists, 3 RNs, 4 Physicians, 3 Front Desk staff, 1 Biller, and 1 RTT-Aide

Approximately 3 orientation shifts provided, with additional orientation available as needed
-
Preferred experience includes CT simulation, custom molds, teaching hospital settings, and treatment of varied cancer types including lymphomas, kidney, pancreatic, and testicular cancers

Preferred equipment experience includes Vision RT, Siemens, Varian 21 ex/ix, and Varian Trilogy
-
Preferred skills also include patient/family teaching, isolation precautions, emergency case management, and use of crash carts and defibrillators
