American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT preferred) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 15-week night shift travel contract at a medical center in Hilo, Hawaii.

Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)

15-week contract

Cares for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
-
Responsibilities include continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator (NIV) management, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care

Equipment used includes PB 980, PB 840, and V60 ventilators, as well as the Para Pac Transport Vent and Pyxis medication management
-
Computerized charting system used

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience

Active State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required by start of assignment (license required if applicable)

Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS

RRT preferred

NRP preferred

Experience with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations required

Prior completed travel assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered

COVID-19 vaccination required

Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exception required prior to contract start

All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to their assignment start date for a mandatory clearance appointment at Hilo Employee Health

Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning

Flu vaccination may be administered during the Employee Health clearance appointment
