Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week day shift contract at a hospital in Carbondale, IL.

• Position is based in a hospital setting in Carbondale, IL
• Respiratory therapy department within a non-profit health system recognized for cardiac, cancer, stroke, and rehabilitation services
• Day shift schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Associate's degree required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Active RRT certification required
• Active Illinois Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required

Additional Information

• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust plans of care within a multidisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge planning
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care as ordered by physician, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students and serve as a role model for clinical practice
• Reassignment to other units may be required as needed
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
