Description

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Respiratory Therapist with 5+ years of Level I trauma experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract in Boston, MA.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory therapy role at a Level I trauma facility in Boston, MA
• Critical care experience required in both MICU and SICU settings
• Level III NICU experience preferred
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred experience with Dräger XL and V500 ventilators

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• Active MA Respiratory Care license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• NPS and/or ACCS certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Level I trauma facility
• Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU required
• Level I Trauma Hospital experience required
• Proficiency with lung protective ventilation strategies required
• Ability to make independent ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
• Permanent residence must be 30+ miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two professional references required — at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not listed as 'supervisor'), must include a performance evaluation; one evaluation within the last 12 months, the other within the last 3 years
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Participate as an active member of the Code Blue team
• Experience with Level III NICU, Dräger XL, and V500 ventilators is preferred but not required
• At least one reference from a prior temporary or travel assignment is preferred
• References cannot be provided by another traveler
