American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift travel assignment with experience across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations.

Cardiopulmonary and respiratory therapy department

Patient population spans neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, and critical care settings
-
Mechanical ventilation management is a core component of this role
-
Specialty areas include Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care
-
Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care Program with the RRT credential per NBRC guidelines
-
Active, unencumbered state license required if applicable

Current BLS and NRP certifications required
-
CRT or RRT credential required
-
1 year of RRT experience with knowledge of General Respiratory Care and Mechanical Ventilation preferred

Experience with pulmonary diagnostics preferred

Experience with cardiac diagnostics (EKG, Holter monitor, event monitor, cardiac stress testing) preferred

DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Administer and document respiratory care procedures in accordance with physician orders and department policy

Perform airway management including bag/mask ventilation, suction techniques, and artificial airway management; assist with intubation
-
Initiate, maintain, and monitor ventilator patients; interpret flow volume and pressure volume curves to guide clinical changes
-
Perform arterial blood gas draws

Translate medication dosing for neonatal and pediatric patients using appropriate equipment and procedures
-
Assess adult, geriatric, pediatric, and neonatal patients for ventilator needs and respiratory status

Assist in orientation and training of new employees and respiratory/nursing students

Adhere to facility attire and dress code per organizational policy
