American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level I Trauma acute care hospital in Colorado.

Acute care inpatient setting at a Level I Trauma Center in Colorado

Adult patient population
-
Covers all areas of the hospital including emergency response
-
Provides a full range of respiratory modalities including medication delivery, invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, ABGs, pulmonary hygiene, hyperinflation therapy, patient transport of critically ill patients with artificial airway, and home oxygen assessment and coordination
-
Ventilator equipment includes the 980 ventilator and V60
-
Charting via Epic (experience required)

12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 6:45 AM
-
Every other weekend required, with potential for more if willing

Holiday coverage required as needed

No floating required
-
No on-call requirement

Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience

Active CO state license required; license required if applicable

Active certifications required (pending not accepted): BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP, and CRT (NBRC)

Active state or compact (NLC) licensure required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Valid driver's license required for consideration

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Assists with intubation (independent intubation not required)

A hospitalist or intensivist is always in-house; candidates will never be the only RT on the floor

Dress code: black pants and wine-colored top

Candidates must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are remote

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
