Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a 13-week NICU night shift assignment requiring an Arkansas RRT state license and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

Details

  • NICU-based position at an acute care medical center
  • RTs rotate through multiple units including NICU, ICU, COVID units, ER, medical floor, and nursery
  • Level 2 nursery with attendance at high-risk deliveries such as C-sections, including infant stabilization and ventilator placement
  • Procedures include vent management, O2 therapy, airway management, respiratory treatments, suctioning, ABG draws, EKGs, and high-risk delivery support
  • Nursery equipment includes RAM cannula, Vapotherm, and heated nasal cannulas
  • Night shift: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
  • Weekend work required

Requirements

  • CRT or RRT credential required
  • Arkansas RRT state license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
  • ER and ICU experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS and PALS preferred
  • NRP preferred
  • Bedside PFT and bronchoscopy experience preferred
  • Nursery experience preferred
  • Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Scrub color requirement: ceil blue and/or black
  • Infants placed on ventilators in the nursery are typically not kept on vent support longer than 24 hours
