Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with adult critical care and ED experience for a day shift NICU position at a Level IV acute care hospital.

Details

• Work in the NICU unit of a 25-bed Level IV acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services, and an attached 71-bed skilled extended care facility
• Adult critical care, ED, and pediatric experience required; pediatric critical care, pulmonary function testing, and pulmonary rehab experience preferred
• Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call may be required; details discussed during interview
• Potential to float to an attached LTC facility within scope of practice
• Charting via Cerner
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• State license required if applicable — pending licenses accepted (start date will be set 4 weeks out if license is pending)
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

• RTO is limited to 1 request per contract, with a maximum of 1 week; no RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment due to orientation
