American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a night shift travel position in a hospital-based NICU setting in Washington State.

Hospital-based NICU setting with additional respiratory therapy coverage across departments
-
Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
-
Patient load of approximately 5 ventilators and 6–8 RVUs per shift
-
Ventilators used include Draeger and Servo I (both required)
-
Proficiency with a wide range of airway management, nebulizer, and medication delivery systems required
-
Medication administration includes Nitric Oxide (iNO), Inhaled Flolan, Racemic Epinephrine, and other inhaled therapies
-
Ventilator management includes BiPAP, CPAP, High Frequency Oscillator, and weaning protocols
-
Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) Lab experience preferred

Epic EMR required
-
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00

Weekend coverage is variable

Floating to other campuses/facilities within Washington State is required
-
Active Washington State Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required

Minimum 2 years of experience required
-
NICU experience required; PICU experience requirement has been waived by the manager
-
Required work setting experience: Adult Critical Care, ED, PICU, and Pediatrics
-
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Proficiency with Draeger and Servo I ventilators required
-
ABG interpretation and basic EKG skills required
-
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities include airway management, ventilator management, medication administration, and neonatal/pediatric respiratory procedures such as assisting in high-risk deliveries and umbilical blood gas collection

Additional skills in NIV/NAVA are a plus
-
Candidates who are former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to be eligible

Former permanent staff must also reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
-
All travelers are expected to float between facilities within Washington State; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
-
Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position; excessive RTO requests may impact placement
-
Any RTO or scheduling requests must be disclosed prior to or at the time of submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
