American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) for a night shift NICU position requiring an Arkansas RRT state license and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

NICU unit within an acute care hospital setting
-
RTs rotate through multiple units including NICU, ICU, COVID units, ER, general floor, and nursery
-
Level 2 nursery with attendance at high-risk deliveries (e.g., C-sections)
-
Procedures include vent management, O2 therapy, airway management, respiratory treatments, suctioning, ABGs, EKGs, and high-risk delivery stabilization
-
Nursery equipment includes RAM cannula, Vapotherm, and heated nasal cannulas
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts)

Weekend work required

Scrub colors: ceil blue and/or black

13-week contract
-
CRT or RRT credential required
-
Active Arkansas RRT state license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting

ER and ICU experience required
-
BLS required
-
Proficiency in vent management, O2 therapy, airway management, respiratory treatments, suctioning, ABGs, and EKGs required

High-risk delivery experience required

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Responsibilities include stabilizing infants in the nursery, including placement on ventilators when needed
-
Infants are typically not kept on ventilators beyond 24 hours
-
ACLS and PALS preferred
-
NRP certification and nursery experience preferred
-
Bedside PFT and bronchoscopy experience preferred
