Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated academic medical center in Washington State.

Details

  • Work in a 637-bed short-term acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
  • Assignment covers Level IV NICU, adult ICU, and adult floor respiratory therapy
  • Level IV NICU patient population with additional adult patient coverage
  • Uses Epic for charting (preferred but not required)
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Weekends required as needed by the unit
  • Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals
  • No on-call requirement
  • Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

  • Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Level IV NICU experience required
  • Washington State Respiratory Care license required (pending license not accepted)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
  • At least 2 completed travel assignments beyond initial hospital employment
  • Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction
  • RTO is capped at 1 week maximum for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during orientation week
  • Prior UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before being considered for a travel position
  • Scrubs in any color are acceptable; scrubs are provided for OR personnel
  • Parking is available on-site at a daily cost to the traveler
