American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position at an academic medical center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Prior experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred

Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
-
RRT credential required (must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already held)

Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Oklahoma (license required if applicable)

Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
-
ACLS certification from AHA required (must be obtained within 3 months of hire if not already held)

AHA-issued certifications only accepted

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record

Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
-
Serve as a resource person to medical staff and provide age-appropriate respiratory care
-
Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may extend only once, for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before becoming eligible for a subsequent contract

Compliance requirements are strictly enforced; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon booking
