Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with strong PICU/NICU experience and competency across all age groups for a pediatric night shift travel assignment at an academic medical center.

Details

  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required within specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within scope
  • No on-call required
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Mixed-acuity setting spanning Level 4 NICU, Pediatrics, ER, Level 1 Trauma, and Medical/Surgical Intensive Care units
  • Patient population spans all age groups, from neonates to adults
  • Average daily census of 6–7 ventilated patients, with approximately 40 patient visits per day
  • Therapist-to-patient ratio of 1:12 across 12 beds
  • Specialized equipment includes Maquet Servo i, Draeger V500, Jet Ventilation, Oscillation, and Nitric Oxide delivery systems
  • 12-week contract

Requirements

  • Current RRT credential required
  • Active ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
  • Strong PICU and NICU experience is a hard requirement
  • Must be competent caring for adult patients across settings including the ER and other units within scope
  • Experience with all patient age groups (neonatal through adult) required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will be considered provided they have a strong pediatric and NICU-focused skillset and are competent across all RT settings, including adult care
  • Provide critical care respiratory therapy services across a high-acuity, mixed-age environment
