American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Respiratory Care department in a pediatric hospital setting

Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

13-week contract

Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program

Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred

RRT credential required

Active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner license required (license required if applicable)

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required

ACLS certification from AHA required (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)

All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document treatment responses in the computerized medical record

Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients across all appropriate age groups

Serve as a resource person to medical staff and participate as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring proper operation of respiratory equipment

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a subsequent contract
