Role specifics and benefits:
Responsibilities and impact: deliver prescribed respiratory therapies, manage ventilator and noninvasive support, monitor patient responses, perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, assess, plan, implement, and document care, adjust therapy according to protocol and physician orders, participate in weaning protocols and chest physiotherapy, optimize oxygen delivery, and provide airway clearance techniques and nebulized treatments. Maintain sterile technique, monitor and troubleshoot equipment, ensure patient safety and infection control, and educate patients and families on therapy adherence and post-discharge needs. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapy leadership; participate in rounds and contribute to the plan of care.
