Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri, United States. Start date: 07/13/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,906–$2,025 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights (3x12). Setting: Short-term acute care hospital.

Responsibilities
- Deliver bedside respiratory therapy to adult and geriatric patients in ICU/CVU, including ventilator management, weaning, and troubleshooting alarms.
- Provide tracheostomy care and assist with percutaneous trach procedures; bronchoscopy assist as needed.
- Administer and monitor modalities such as high-flow nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP/NIV; interpret ABGs; assist with airway management and intubation.
- Document patient care accurately in Epic; collaborate with the ICU/CVU team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with unit protocols and participate in on-call rotations; contribute to patient safety and quality initiatives.
- Participate in required pre-start onboarding and adapt to unit-specific workflows and guidelines.
Requirements
- Active RRT certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 3 years of adult critical care / ICU experience; preferred experience includes charge roles, community hospital, LTAC, Trauma I/II settings
- Proficiency in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy care, and bronchoscopy support
- Licensure: Pending state license accepted per compliance notes (MO submission without license may be acceptable; IL requires license in hand at submittal; Compact rules apply)
- Ability to work nights in an ICU/CVU environment; Epic charting experience required
- Travel assignment experience not required; candidates with travel in their background are welcome
