American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift, 13-week contract at a large Level 1 Trauma hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

500+ bed hospital with Level 1 Pediatric and Adult Trauma and Burn designations
-
Respiratory Care unit supporting adult medical, trauma/neuro, burn, and cardiovascular critical care units, as well as the Emergency Department
-
Night shift: 18:45–07:15

13-week contract
-
Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
-
RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
-
Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner license required (license required if applicable)

BLS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross
-
High school diploma with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable cumulative experience

ACLS preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross

NRP and NRP Advanced preferred; must be AHA/AAP
-
PALS preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross

Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Assess patients and develop individualized respiratory care plans based on diagnosis and clinical need

Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment; perform advanced respiratory care modalities

Evaluate respiratory practice, medication administration, and treatment effectiveness based on patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on health conditions and available community support resources
-
Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes

Follows Standard Precautions and uses appropriate personal protective equipment
