American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift position at a 70-bed hospital in Portland, ME.

Night shift hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

36 hours per week

May float between NICU, pediatric, and adult units — details discussed during interview

EMR: Cerner (Pyxis also in use)

13-week contract

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
-
Maine (ME) state license or compact license required — license required if applicable

Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles South/SW of the facility to be eligible

Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity

2 professional references within the past year required, with at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge nurse acceptable; peer references not accepted)

Full SSN, Driver's License, and copies of all certifications required for consideration

Flu vaccination required for clearance

Manager interviews are conducted prior to placement

Orientation length is dependent on individual skillset and experience

Support structure includes Respiratory Department Leadership, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, and intensivist available for consult 24/7

RTO requests require manager approval and must be submitted at the time of consideration

No specific scrub color requirement — any color is acceptable
