American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with NICU/Pediatric experience for a 12-hour night shift position at a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital.

Works across a 247-licensed-bed Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital that is also a certified Chest Pain and Stroke Center

NICU and pediatric-focused role covering neonatal through pediatric patients, with adult patient care as needed
-
Works across multiple areas including ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general medical floors

Performs IPPV and NIPPV ventilator therapy

EMR: Epic
-
12-hour night shifts, 1900–0700 (shift times 1845–0715)
-
Every other weekend rotation required
-
75% of holiday coverage required
-
No on-call or call-back requirements
-
Will not be floated to another facility
-
RRT or CRT credential required
-
Active NC licensure required (license required if applicable)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience in a resource/float team capacity

IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience required

Most recent experience must be within the last year
-
Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration

1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
-

Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Orientation includes a NEO session plus 2 days of departmental training

A clinical interview will be conducted, with the manager conducting the final interview

Supported by Respiratory Leadership within the department

RTO of up to 6 days may be approved, excluding holidays; any time off that impacts contracted hours must be made up at the end of the contract

Schedule is set on a 6-week cycle
