Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience including NICU, ICU, and ED backgrounds for a 13-week night shift contract in Fort Worth, TX.

Details

  • Full-service hospital setting in Fort Worth, TX
  • Respiratory Therapy department with NICU focus
  • Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Procedures performed include ABGs, assist with intubation, nebulizer treatments, Metaneb, IPPB, and CPT
  • Experience with all age ranges of patients required
  • Charting via Meditech; experience preferred
  • Experience with Servo I ventilator and I-Stat preferred

Requirements

  • RRT credential required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
  • NICU experience required
  • ICU experience required
  • ED experience required
  • Ability to draw ABGs required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics) required for RT staff caring for neonates
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required if from Florida or Missouri)
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Black scrubs required and must be purchased by the candidate
  • No artificial, gel, or next-gen nails permitted
  • Hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer; no extreme styles or colors
  • Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose and tongue rings
  • Body art should be covered whenever possible
  • Allied health candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the role for which they are applying
