American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 5+ years of experience for a 13-week varied-shift contract at a Critical Access Hospital and Joint Commission-accredited community hospital in Great Barrington, MA.

Position is located at a Joint Commission-accredited Critical Access Hospital and Massachusetts DPH Primary Stroke Center serving the southern Berkshire region

Primary acute care hospital offering inpatient medical services, general surgery, orthopedics, maternity services, and 24-hour emergency coverage

Administers complex cardiopulmonary care treatments to patients per physician verbal or written orders

Cross-training required on the cardiology side of the department, including EKG, stress tests, Holter monitors, event monitors, and EEGs
-
Meditech Expanse EMR experience strongly preferred

Varied shift schedule, approximately 30 to 35.9 hours per week

No on-call requirements

Holiday rotation required

Minimum 5 years of current RRT experience required

Active RRT Certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required

Current MA Registered Respiratory Therapist license in good standing required — MA license must be in hand at time of consideration; licensure will not be pended

Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required

CRTs will not be considered for this position

A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required for this assignment

1 supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment required for consideration

License required if applicable

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

No block scheduling is available — candidates must be fully flexible with scheduling as needed
