Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of ER and inpatient hospital experience for an evening shift position at a Kansas-based hospital campus.

Details

• Evening shift, 8-hour shifts from 1500-2330, Monday through Friday
• Work across multiple settings including the Emergency Department, Med-Surg Telemetry unit, and Outpatient areas with floating required
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No holiday work required; if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, hours will be adjusted in the subsequent pay period

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent RRT experience in both an Emergency Room and inpatient hospital setting
• Active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• New graduates will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Experience with single RT workflow, EKG interpretation, and ventilation management prior to patient transfer is preferred
• Orientation begins at the KC Campus (Monday and Tuesday of the first week), followed by orientation at the Paola Campus on Wednesday
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the Great Bend campus to qualify for travel rates at that location
