American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level I Trauma experience and Epic proficiency for a night shift position in an adult critical care setting.

Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)

Every other weekend required
-
Adult and geriatric patient population
-
Proficiency required in adult critical care procedures including extubation, nasal and oral airway placement, suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care

Experience required with a broad range of inhaled medications including albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Isuprel, lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, terbutaline sulfate, tobramycin, and Xopenex

Medication delivery via aerosol mask, aerosol trach setup, Medihaler, and metered dose inhaler (MDI) required

Experience with handheld, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizers required

Experience with high-flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy required

Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, high-pressure alarm troubleshooting, and mechanical ventilation weaning required

Epic EMR used; 1 year of experience required

Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs; floating is limited to areas within the candidate's documented competencies

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license for South Carolina required — no pending licenses accepted

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience

Level I Trauma center experience required

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this night shift RRT position

Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a critical care environment

Responsibilities include airway management, medication administration via inhalation, ventilator management, and pulmonary hygiene
-
Staff are supported with floating assignments limited to areas of documented competency
-
