Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 5+ years of experience and a strong pediatric background for a 13-week night shift contract at a women's and children's hospital in Tampa, FL.

Details

  • Pediatric respiratory care unit within a women's and children's hospital
  • Patient population includes NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Med/Surg patients
  • Performs therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures including ventilatory support, administration of medical gases, aerosols, and medications to the cardiopulmonary system
  • Provides bronchopulmonary drainage, breathing exercises, pulmonary rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Maintains natural and artificial airways across critical care and non-critical care settings
  • 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Schedule includes every other weekend
  • 13-week assignment in Tampa, FL

Requirements

  • Active RRT credential and Florida RRT licensure (license required if applicable)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
  • Minimum 5 years of experience plus prior travel assignment required
  • Strong experience in NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Med/Surg required
  • Level 3 NICU experience preferred
  • 2 professional references dated within the last 12 months
  • Skills checklist dated within the last 12 months

Additional Information

  • Performs respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Care Coordinator or designee
  • All care is delivered in accordance with established department and hospital protocols
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront at the time of consideration
  • Work history gaps of more than 30 days must include an explanation
