Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience for a 36-hour/week night shift travel contract in Grand Junction, CO.

Details

  • 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • Located in Grand Junction, CO
  • Documents care using Epic EMR
  • Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
  • On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required

Requirements

  • Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience
  • Current RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Active Colorado Respiratory Therapy license required (DORA) — license required if applicable
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (must not expire prior to start date)
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs and interprets diagnostic testing procedures, obtains arterial blood gases, and initiates respiratory protocols based on clinical assessments
  • Administers medications safely and evaluates patient response, communicating progress to physicians, nurses, and other departments
  • Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
  • Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings
  • Serves as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and other care team members
  • Former permanent staff of any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
