American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience for a 36-hour/week night shift travel contract in Grand Junction, CO.

12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Floating to other departments may be required based on business need

On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required

Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
-
Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience

Current RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Active Colorado Respiratory Therapy license required (DORA) — license required if applicable

Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (must not expire prior to start date)

DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Performs and interprets diagnostic testing procedures, obtains arterial blood gases, and initiates respiratory protocols based on clinical assessments

Administers medications safely and evaluates patient response, communicating progress to physicians, nurses, and other departments

Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
-
Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings
-
Serves as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and other care team members
-
Former permanent staff of any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
