American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Trauma Level 1 experience for a night shift position in an adult/geriatric acute care setting, requiring Epic proficiency and a broad range of critical care skills.

Acute care hospital setting with a Respiratory Therapy unit serving adult and geriatric patients
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week

Every other weekend work required

Agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas where qualifications and documented competencies apply

Epic EMR used; minimum 1 year of experience required

13-week contract
-
Active RRT license in South Carolina required (no pending licenses accepted)

Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
-
Trauma Level 1 facility experience required
-
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS
-
Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience
-
Proficiency in adult critical care procedures including extubation, nasal/oral airway placement, suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care
-
Experience administering a broad range of inhaled medications including albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Isuprel, lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, terbutaline sulfate, tobramycin, and Xopenex

Experience delivering medications via aerosol mask, aerosol trach setup, Medihaler, and metered dose inhaler

Experience with handheld, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizers

Experience with high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy
-
Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation

Driver's license (DL) and Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this position; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible

All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of booking and are subject to facility approval
