American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1.5+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an academic medical center, floating across pediatric and adult critical care settings.

13-week contract at an academic medical center
-
Float assignment covering Pediatric ICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care; additional float units may be assigned based on skill set and hospital needs

Adult and pediatric patient population
-
Procedures include blood gas analysis, ventilator/BiPAP/high-flow initiation and management, code response, in-house transport, medication administration, and chest PT
-
Equipment experience with Servo I & U and V60 BiPAP ventilators

Charting via Epic

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
-
Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday)

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
-
Active NJ or Compact RRT license required; license required if applicable

Minimum 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience

BLS required
-
ACLS, PALS, and NRP highly preferred; onsite training available for these certifications

PICU/NICU experience preferred

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Two current professional references required for consideration

NURSYS and state license verification required for consideration

Copy of certifications required for consideration

Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays

Former employees of the RWJ Barnabas Health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
