Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week night shift contract supporting a geriatric inpatient population including ICU, telemetry, and outpatient PFT services.

Details

  • Inpatient setting serving a primarily geriatric population
  • Facility includes a 5-bed ICU, approximately 40-bed telemetry-capable unit, a swing bed program, an ER, and an outpatient department with full pulmonary function testing (PFT) services
  • Ventilator fleet includes Puritan Bennett 840 (x4), PB 980 (x2), PB V60 BiPAP (x4), and EV300 (x2)
  • Night shift RTs occasionally assist with Holter monitor setup on discharge and 12-lead EKGs
  • Outpatient PFT services are day shift only and are not part of the night shift scope
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • West Virginia (WV) RT license in good standing required (license required if applicable)
  • Driver's license (DL) and Social Security card (SSN) required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill and general inpatient patients on the night shift
  • Occasional duties include setting up Holter monitors at discharge and performing 12-lead EKGs
  • A new ER is expected to open within the next 8–12 months, which may expand the scope of services at this facility
