American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of adult ICU experience for a night shift travel contract in San Antonio, TX.

ICU-based respiratory therapy position at a 260-bed specialty and transplant hospital
-
Patient acuity measured in points, with typical caseloads ranging from 30–45 points
-
Equipment used includes GE860, Hamilton C1, Philips V60 ventilators, and EPOC
-
EMR system is Meditech
-
Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Rotating weekends required
-
Floating may be required to ICU, PCU, ER, and floor units
-
8-week contract
-
NBRC certification required
-
Active Texas Respiratory Care License required (license required if applicable)

BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)

ACLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of adult respiratory therapy experience

Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role being applied for

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Typical procedures include ABGs, bronchoscopy, and patient transport
-
ICU experience with team leader background is the most sought-after skill set
-
ER experience is preferred but not required

Scrub dress code: black scrub pants and olive green scrub top

First-time travelers are not excluded, but prior travel experience is a plus
