American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital

RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric patients, including ICU care
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00

Every other weekend required

Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off can be approved per contract
-
Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
-
No on-call requirement

Block scheduling is not available

Charting in Epic

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

Current RRT credential required

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience

Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients in an ICU setting

Epic EMR experience required

Active state or compact RT license required; pending licensure not accepted

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

License required if applicable

Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostics therapy services to adult and pediatric ICU patients

Pre-start orientation modules required, estimated at 4–10 hours

Any missed scheduled shifts may require a makeup shift at the manager's discretion

Maximum of 4 days of RTO allowed per contract

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning

Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing to be away for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
