Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring prior travel experience and heart and vascular expertise in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population (ages 18+), focusing on vascular and cardiac cases
• Procedures include LVAD, temporary pacers, and intra-aortic balloon pump; ECMO is not performed
• Staffing ratio of 4 staff per 1 patient per procedure
• 8-hour day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• On-call required 1–2 days per week from 3:30 PM–7:00 AM, plus every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 3:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM) and holidays
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MS RN license or Compact RN license currently on file required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Heart and vascular experience required, including wire and supplies experience
• Social Security Number required for consideration
• References from the past year of employment from a leadership role (e.g., nurse manager) required for consideration, with a reference from each facility worked at in the past year

Additional Information

• Scrub tech skills are preferred but not required
• Very busy and fast-paced unit environment
• RTO (time off) is limited to 4 days or less — candidates with more RTO requested will not be considered
• Orientation can begin any day of the week and does not need to start on a Monday
