Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring open heart recovery experience and proficiency with advanced cardiac devices including balloon pumps, LVADs, Impellas, and ECMO.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU)
• Travelers may be required to float within skillset across up to 5 affiliated hospital campuses
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Block scheduling is not permitted

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Open heart recovery experience (directly from the OR) required
• Hands-on experience with balloon pumps, LVADs, Impellas, and ECMO required
• Epic EMR experience required
• COVID-19 vaccine required — no exemptions accepted
• Flu vaccine required — no exemptions accepted
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of contract signing — only 2 attempts are allowed, and the test must be completed on a PC (not an iOS device); failure to pass or complete within the allotted timeframe will result in contract cancellation
• First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a reduced local pay rate
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — RTO requests submitted after that point will not be accepted
