American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Case Management position at a Level 3 Trauma Center in Olympia, WA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient case management experience and Epic proficiency.

107-bed acute care hospital setting, Level 3 Trauma Center
-
Case Management unit serving adult inpatient populations across ICU, PCU, and Med/Surg — no pediatric, L&D, or NICU patients
-
Caseload of 15–20 patients
-
10-hour day shifts, with flexibility between 0700–1730 or 0800–1830
-
Scheduled Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
-
Weekend rotation expected — up to every weekend, or approximately 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling cycle

No on-call responsibilities

No floating required
-
EMR: Epic (experience required)

Active WA state or compact RN license required

ADN, BSN, or higher accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience required

Minimum 4 years of overall nursing experience required

Strong knowledge of healthcare financial and reimbursement practices

Epic EMR experience required

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

One supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) required for consideration; a second reference required prior to start

Responsibilities include clinical interviewing, utilization review, post-discharge planning, and connecting patients with community resources

Works alongside a team of 3 RN Case Managers, Social Workers, and Management, with a CM Assistant joining soon
-
Orientation includes hospital new employee orientation (NEO) followed by 1–2 days of department-specific orientation with a staff member

Expected to cover 50% of holidays within the contract period

RTO of up to 7 days may be approved; requests for holidays or more than 7 days require manager approval

Scrub color: Caribbean blue bottoms with a white or black shirt or scrub top; business casual attire is also acceptable
