American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with a minimum of 2 years of case management experience and an active SC or compact RN license for a 13-week inpatient assignment.

Inpatient case management unit within a 97-bed hospital

Caseload ratio of 1:22

Day shift schedule, 5x8s (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

One 8-hour weekend shift required per month

No on-call requirements

No floating required

Charting performed in Epic

Free on-site parking available

Active SC or compact/multi-state RN license required; must be in hand at time of start

Current BLS certification (AHA only) required

BSN required

Minimum 2 years of case management experience required

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Case Management certification (CCM) preferred

Prior leadership experience preferred

Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating services to meet individual patient health needs across the continuum of care

Partners with a multidisciplinary team to establish care plans and allocate resources based on patient risk assessments

Supports patients and families in coping with illness by optimizing self-care abilities and advocating for consumer rights

Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs

Online modules must be completed prior to the assignment start date

During hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September

Hunter green scrubs required
