Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with a minimum of 2 years of case management experience and an active SC or compact RN license for a 13-week inpatient assignment.

Details

  • Inpatient case management unit within a 97-bed hospital
  • Caseload ratio of 1:22
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8s (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • One 8-hour weekend shift required per month
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required
  • Charting performed in Epic
  • Free on-site parking available

Requirements

  • Active SC or compact/multi-state RN license required; must be in hand at time of start
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
  • BSN required
  • Minimum 2 years of case management experience required
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Case Management certification (CCM) preferred
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Epic experience preferred

  • Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating services to meet individual patient health needs across the continuum of care
  • Partners with a multidisciplinary team to establish care plans and allocate resources based on patient risk assessments
  • Supports patients and families in coping with illness by optimizing self-care abilities and advocating for consumer rights
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
  • Online modules must be completed prior to the assignment start date
  • During hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
  • Hunter green scrubs required
