American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring interventional cardiac cath lab experience and an active IL RN license.

Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 562-bed, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
-
5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25
-
Interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including: circulating procedures, diagnostic catheterizations (adult), left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring

Procedural sedation administration and monitoring required

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

On-call required as needed

Floating within scope required, including potential float to an affiliate hospital nearby
-
Will work 2–3 weekends per contract

Charting performed in Cerner
-
Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)

Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required

Interventional cardiac cath lab experience required

Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required

Procedural sedation monitoring experience required

Cerner EMR experience required
-
SSN and DOB required for consideration

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
