Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring interventional cardiac cath lab experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 562-bed, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• 5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25
• Interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including: circulating procedures, diagnostic catheterizations (adult), left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• On-call required as needed
• Floating within scope required, including potential float to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Will work 2–3 weekends per contract
• Charting performed in Cerner

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Interventional cardiac cath lab experience required
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Procedural sedation monitoring experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
• All time off requests should be disclosed upfront
• Travel pairs are not accepted
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation
