Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at an acute care hospital in California, requiring Epic EMR experience and a minimum of 1.5 years of Cath Lab experience with on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital (320 staffed beds) in a Cath Lab unit
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• On-call required: 7 days per 2-week pay period (2 nights/week post-shift + 1 weekend every 2 weeks)
• Candidates with neuro skills may alternate between STEMI and neuro call days; candidates without neuro skills will be assigned to STEMI call only
• Weekends required every other weekend, with potential to exceed based on unit needs
• Floating between all facilities within the state is expected; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Charting is done using Epic (experience required)
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1.5 years of Cath Lab RN experience required; 2 years strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Neuro skills highly preferred
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Free parking available on-site
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• RTO must be submitted upfront; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Previous work history at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates
