American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position with rotating night/evening shifts and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience required.

Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital setting
-
Treats patients across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
-
Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4, which may increase to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
-
Patient population includes a wide variety of complex, multi-system diagnoses in a fast-paced environment

Rotating night and evening shifts; primary need is nights, with scheduling based on department needs
-
Shift times: Night 7p–7:30a (3x12) or Evening 3p–3:30a (3x12); 4x12 schedules also accepted

Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage required as scheduled

Floating within the ED specialty and to sister ED facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, and Queenstown) as needed

No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required

Active RN license for the state of Maryland (or compact license with MD as primary state) currently in hand
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required

Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required (may be completed during onboarding)
