Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position with rotating night/evening shifts and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience required.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital setting
  • Treats patients across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
  • Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4, which may increase to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
  • Patient population includes a wide variety of complex, multi-system diagnoses in a fast-paced environment
  • Rotating night and evening shifts; primary need is nights, with scheduling based on department needs
  • Shift times: Night 7p–7:30a (3x12) or Evening 3p–3:30a (3x12); 4x12 schedules also accepted
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Floating within the ED specialty and to sister ED facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, and Queenstown) as needed
  • No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required

Requirements

  • Active RN license for the state of Maryland (or compact license with MD as primary state) currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required (may be completed during onboarding)
