Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and active TNCC certification, with an alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department (ER) of a hospital setting
  • Alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule, totaling 84 hours biweekly
  • Evening shift, 13:00–01:00 (3x12 or 4x12 hours depending on the week)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license — TX or Compact license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required; candidates with 2 years must have experience in a high-volume or trauma facility
  • 3 years of ER experience preferred
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
  • The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
  • Candidates should avoid any substances that could cause a positive drug screen prior to arrival, including CBD products
