Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Illinois, requiring Epic experience and a minimum of one year of ED nursing experience.

Details

• Works in a fast-paced Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Mid shift schedule: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM, 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
• All travelers are required to complete a 2-week nights rotation
• 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with an expectation to be onsite within one hour of being called
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant ED nursing experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum education: ASN (BSN preferred)
• English proficiency required (speak, read, write)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Performs patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
• Executes and continuously modifies care plans based on ongoing patient assessment
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation to support the broader healthcare team
• Upholds patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards
• Collaborates effectively with staff, visitors, and families to promote a healthy work environment
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Travelers who have been on continuous assignment at this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
