Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a fast-paced, high-volume combined Adult/Pedi ED, with rotating day/mid shifts and every other weekend required.

Details

  • Fast-paced, high-volume general emergency department treating a combined adult and pediatric population
  • Wide range of complex, multi-diagnosis cases spanning pediatric through geriatric patients
  • STEMI Certified and Stroke Certified facility
  • Patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
  • Rotating Day/Mid shifts available in 3x12 or 4x12 formats (07:00–19:30 or 11:00–23:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Floating required within the specialty and to sister system EDs as needed
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • CPI certification required (can be completed on-site during onboarding)
  • Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
