Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Dept position requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC certifications, with trauma, stroke, and chest pain experience.

Details

  • Hospital Emergency Department setting with 10 rooms and 19 beds/chairs
  • Patient ratio of 3:1 or 4:1
  • Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
  • 13-week contract
  • EMR: Medhost
  • No on-call or floating requirements
  • No 48-hour shifts

Requirements

  • Active TX or Compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC (AHA or ARC) — no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
  • Experience with trauma, stroke, and chest pain cases required
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Medhost EMR experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Titers must be in hand at time of consideration
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • RTO requests must be less than one week in duration and must be requested upfront
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
  • Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
