Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, TNCC certification, and Cerner proficiency.

Details

  • Fast-paced Emergency Department setting treating a broad patient population including urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients
  • Nurses manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass blood transfusions, and chest tubes
  • Experience with stroke, STEMI, and critical care patients with drips is highly valued
  • Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts starting at 7p
  • Every other weekend is required
  • Cerner EMR experience is required

Requirements

  • Active FL or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses)
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale — AHA-issued certifications only
  • CPI certification is required for this position
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience in a U.S. hospital required
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
  • BSN highly desired
  • Valid U.S. SSN required
  • Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
  • Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs, ensuring safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
  • Locals within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
