Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in a hospital GI Lab setting, requiring an active MT or Compact RN license and at least one year of GI specialty experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab setting
  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
  • 13-week contract
  • Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

  • Active MT RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
  • Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS — both must be issued by the American Heart Association and must not expire prior to assignment start
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN or higher)
  • Minimum 1 year of GI/Endoscopy specialty experience required
  • Medical-surgical background with strong assessment skills required
  • Endoscopy experience preferred
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care in the GI Lab in accordance with unit policies and procedures
  • Collects, analyzes, and organizes patient care data to inform and revise the plan of care
  • Directs coworkers in the implementation of patient care plans
  • Performs patient and family education, discharge planning, and outcome documentation
  • Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
