American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a minimum of 2 years of endoscopy experience, charge experience, and an active KY or compact RN license.

Work setting is a hospital-based Endoscopy unit
-
Procedures performed include Bronchoscopy, Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, and Esophageal varices and banding
-
Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
-
On-call required on a rotational basis
-
Every 4th or 5th weekend is required
-
Floating to different units may be required
-
Epic EMR experience is required
-
Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
-
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of endoscopy RN experience required
-
Prior charge experience required
-
Epic EMR proficiency required
-
SSN and DOB required for consideration
-
Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of driver's license and SSN card required for consideration

Responsibilities include circulating, pre/post procedure care, airway management, and recovery of monitored anesthesia care (MAC) sedation
-
Skills include IV placement and maintenance, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, specimen handling and labeling, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and medication administration including opioid analgesics and reversal agents
-
Preferred equipment experience includes balloon dilators, polyp snares, electrosurgical units, ERBE portable units, bronchoscopy cart and supplies, and foreign body equipment

Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered but at a different pay rate than those residing beyond 75 miles

Former staff must wait 2 years before returning as a traveler
