Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a 366-bed acute care academic medical center in Norwalk, CT, requiring at least 1 year of GI lab procedural experience and a CT RN license.

Details

• 366-bed acute care academic medical center setting
• GI/Endoscopy unit covering pre-procedure, procedure room, and recovery areas
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM

Requirements

• Active CT RN license (compact license also accepted) required
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year of GI lab procedural experience required, including pre-procedure, procedure room, and recovery
• Experience with ERCP, EUS, general GI, EBUS, and bronchoscopy is preferred
• Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the past year in the same specialty required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across pre-procedure, procedure, and recovery phases for GI/endoscopy patients
• Only AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications are accepted
• If any certifications are expiring during the assignment, a renewal receipt or scheduled course dates must be provided
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Northwell/Nuvance Health location may be subject to an eligibility review process
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced rate
• Timekeeping is managed through Kronos
• Candidates are required to complete onboarding modules prior to assignment start
