Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience, AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications, and an active Oklahoma or compact RN license.

Details

  • Hospital ICU setting with a patient population ranging from simple to complex health conditions
  • 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
  • Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Proficiency in professional nursing theory, techniques, and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including documentation of responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
  • Monitors physiological data, administers medications, and manages IV infusions and blood products
  • Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
  • After a total of 26 weeks at this facility (including any extensions), travelers must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for another contract
  • Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
