American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience, AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications, and an active Oklahoma or compact RN license.

Hospital ICU setting with a patient population ranging from simple to complex health conditions

12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week

13-week contract

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only

Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Proficiency in professional nursing theory, techniques, and procedures
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Basic computer skills required

Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including documentation of responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
-
Monitors physiological data, administers medications, and manages IV infusions and blood products
-
Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
-
Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
-
Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

After a total of 26 weeks at this facility (including any extensions), travelers must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for another contract

Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
