Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2-3 years of ICU experience, CVICU experience preferred, with 12-hour night shifts in a New Hampshire hospital setting.

Details

  • Hospital ICU setting with a mixed critical care patient population
  • 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), 3 shifts per week
  • Specialty equipment includes balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, Arctic Sun/TTM management, Alaris pumps, and rapid infuser
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
  • Floating required to the ED (not ICU holds only), stepdown, med/surg (with modified assignment), and potentially behavioral health
  • May be requested to float to additional hospital campuses in Laconia and Franklin, NH
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active NH or Compact RN license required — temporary licenses are not accepted
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Preferred certifications: TNCC, PALS, CCRN
  • Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience required; candidates closer to 2 years should demonstrate strong independent practice, versatility, and the ability to work quickly
  • CVICU experience is a plus
  • 2 references from a Charge RN or Manager in the same specialty required
  • A valid driver's license with an address matching demographics on file is required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Former permanent staff are eligible to return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
  • 3 references total are required upon commitment, with at least 2 from leadership
  • Any requested time off must be disclosed upfront
