American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Ventura County, CA, requiring at least 3 years of IR experience and the ability to respond to on-call within 15 minutes of the facility.

Hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit with one angiography suite

Patient population spans all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1

Procedures include trauma cases and standard IR; Neuro IR is not performed
-
Typically 3–10 procedures performed per nurse per day

Primary role is IR nursing with some floating to Nuclear Medicine
-
Floating to PACU/Recovery may be required as needed
-
Floating to a nearby IR facility (approximately 15 minutes away) may be required on rare occasions
-
Day shift, 5x8 hours (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

On-call required every other weekend, Friday 4:30 PM through Monday 8:00 AM
-
Call-in response time is 15 minutes (hard requirement)

Active CA RN license required

Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required

TNCC required; TCAR preferred

Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required

Conscious sedation skills required

Must reside within 15 minutes of the facility to meet on-call response requirements

Two nurses are typically present during procedures, allowing each to take a dedicated role (e.g., circulating vs. sedation)
-
Cross-training to PACU is available for interested candidates
-
On-call shifts are not forced but candidates are encouraged to pick up additional shifts when possible

Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
