American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level IV Trauma community hospital in Cudahy, WI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of IR experience and an active WI or compact RN license.

Interventional Radiology unit at a 100-bed Level IV Trauma community hospital and designated Stroke Center located in Cudahy, WI, approximately 20 minutes from Milwaukee

Unit consists of 1 IR Suite and 1 Minor Procedure Room, averaging 5–8 patients per day
-
Older adult/community patient population with general IR case types including nephrostomy tubes, sonograms, port placements, biopsies, angiograms with interventions, PE thrombectomies, embolizations, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, and paras/thoras — no chemotherapy or neuro procedures

EMR: Epic (experience required); additional technology includes Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, McKesson PACS, GE Fluoro Machine, ultrasound machine, and Inari device (rep typically present)

Schedule is five 8-hour day shifts (0800–1630), Monday through Friday
-
On-call required every 3 weeks for one full week at a time (Monday 1600 through the following Monday 0700), with a 45-minute response time; on-call team consists of 1 Tech and 1 RN

Weekend rotation involves on-call coverage

May be on call for up to 50% of holidays during a contract

Floating to CT may be required to assist with procedures (not to operate CT equipment)

Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ARRT certifications required

Minimum 2 years of IR experience required, with most recent experience within the last year

Hands-on IR tech experience and familiarity with the listed IR case types required

Must be able to scrub and pan simultaneously

Epic EMR experience required

At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year required for consideration

Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities include performing and assisting with a full range of general IR procedures; coding and charting for cases is preferred but not required
-
Department support includes Radiologists, a Radiology PA for minor procedures, Lead Tech, Lead RN, management, Rapid Response/Code Team, and Respiratory Therapy

Orientation includes facility-wide NEO followed by 2–3 shifts of unit-specific orientation

Scrubs are provided by the facility; candidates should bring their own lock if they wish to use a locker
